    • I had to look “defenestrate” up. I wonder who thought there was a need for that word instead of “tossed out a window”?

      • Why resort to the vulgar when you can coin a pompous Latin term instead? 😀

        It was apparently first used to refer to the events of the Defenestrations of Prague (look it up on Wikipedia), but I learned of it myself from the A.C. Clarke short story The Defenestration of Ermintrude Inch.
